My parents introduced me to the sport of professional wrestling when I was still a baby. It was always such a magical experience to get caught up in all of the story lines and root for my favorite WWF Superstars. That's right, I said WWF NOT WWE.

One of those magical experiences occurred on March 29, 1987 when I watched Wrestlemania 3 and heard Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse "The Body" Ventura commentate on the main event.

In front of 93,000 fans at the Silverdome, Hulk Hogan defended his World Heavyweight Championship against the 7 foot 5 inch frenchman, Andre The Giant.
Hogan started off good but ran into trouble when he tried and failed to lift Andre for a body slam. Then the Hulkster started fighting back but ran into trouble again when he ran into a big boot from Andre. After being knock out of the ring, Hogan pulls up the padding outside of the ring to expose the concrete floor. He then attempted and failed to lift Andre up for a pile driver. Andre threw Hogan back into the ring and eventually caught Hogan in a bear hug. Hogan fed off of the energy of the Hulkamaniacs and used it to fight his way out of Andre's bear hug.
Finally, on the third try, Hogan found the strength to lift Andre up and body slam him. Then came the famous Hulk Hogan leg drop and a pin for a 3 count. Hulk Hogan was victorious and held on to his WWF Championship Belt.
